During the site visit to Children's Park in Boralesgamuwa, I, as an instructor for BLA Level 1 undergraduates, played a key role in guiding students to understand spatial design considerations for both elders and children in the same environment. Leading the group, I facilitated discussions on the park's layout and amenities, encouraging students to critically analyze how design elements contribute to a harmonious coexistence of different age groups. The aim was to instill a holistic understanding of inclusive spatial planning, providing practical insights that go beyond theoretical knowledge and prepare students for future projects in landscape architecture.
